I saw this joke in Readers Digest. Except it went like this.
As I was shopping I saw a fathers weary efforts on trying to get his toddler in the shopping cart. Finally he gave up saying crossly to his daughter:
If you fall out of the cart and break both of your legs, don’t come running to me.
