I came up with that joke in 1980 my uncle worked for shell gas in new Orleans I was 4 years old I’m still waiting for my royalty!! But its a good clean joke for a kid

I know you’re fibbing. I’m 60 years old in 94 we lived in O’Fallon, Il. 62231 i ask my 5-year-old son. Why did the chicken cross the road? And he, of course, said, why and I told him to get to the other side, he laughed, walked off to his room came back about 10 minutes later and says, Hey dad, do you know why the turtle crossed the road? And of course, I said to get to the other side, he said, no to get to the shell station, my jaw bounced off the floor. I could not believe it that he came up with that. He didn’t even realize what he had done. He was only putting 2 and 2 together to = 4. I started telling everyone this story. If you trace the origins, i bet They’d end up at ground Zero. 0’Fallon Illinois, 62231. Your 4 years old and uncle works at a shell gas station. Sounds more fishy than turtle.
